Overview
What Dead Signal is
A top-down survival game for 1–4 players on a large, procedurally generated desert map. The game runs on a repeating day/night cycle, and the objective never changes — find the radio station, repair it, and get a helicopter to extract you.
What you're doing
Daylight is for work: dig the ground, mine rocks, loot cars and landmark buildings, and turn all of it into walls, towers, wire and turrets around your base. When the sun drops the horde spawns around you and runs faster than you can. Hold until dawn, repeat, and keep pushing towards the radio.
Health and hydration both need managing all the time — thirst slows you down and eventually kills you, and every zombie hit is expensive. Bring the radio its parts, survive the countdown, and board the helicopter.
Field notes
- Hard is the default difficulty. It starts you with a pistol and two rounds — the first day is about finding a landmark, not fighting.
- Everything in this manual comes straight from the game's code, numbers included.
